Why do most yachts have a maximum capacity of 12-13 passengers and others even less?
The coast guard has laws in place that limit the maximum number of guests on a chartered vessel. That number will change based on the size of the boat, and the way the yacht is registered and insured. We do have access to party boats that are licensed for carrying much larger amounts of passengers, but these types of boats are designed for events like weddings, Bar mitzvahs and Bot mitzvahs, huge Corporate Parties etc.
